Here is an interested blog, that suggests that Drupal is on the way to the next King of CMSes.

Recently Dries Buytaert (founder of Drupal), has started a Drupal start-up, and they have recieved some $7 million as VC. Dries has announced that a team(from his start-up) will be working on making Drupal a bug-free system.
